マツダ下請けで20年勤務
↓
派遣工（派遣社員）としてマツダで３年近く勤務
↓
派遣法に定められた最大派遣期間（３年）を超えての就労となるため、
期間工としてマツダに直接雇用される(8日間勤務)←←←←←←何故かこの期間だけマスコミに取り上げられる
↓
期間工採用後の８日目にマツダが自主退社を強要し、その後は派遣工として派遣会社経由で雇用する旨
（直接雇用前と同じ派遣工として）を容疑者に通知
↓
容疑者ブチギレ

元派遣社員らが地位確認訴訟を起こすなど、労使関係をめぐるトラブルが相次いでいた。
昨年６月には、同社が直接雇用義務が生じる法定期間（連続３年）を超えないよう
派遣労働者を期間社員として一時的に直接雇用し、
再び派遣として受け入れる方法を繰り返したとして、
広島労働局が労働者派遣法違反の疑いがあるとして文書指導したことも明らかになった。
